Welcome to GreyLens, a voice-first social and dating application ("App") and website ("Site") operated by GreyLens ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App or Site (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to terminate any account we determine belongs to a user under 18, without notice and without liability.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose of genuine social connection. You must not:
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service, including voice notes, photographs, and messages ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant GreyLens a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, process, and deliver that content solely to operate the Service. This licence terminates when you delete your account or the specific content, subject to our retention practices.
You represent and warrant that you own all rights to your User Content or have obtained all necessary permissions, that it does not infringe any third-party rights, and that it complies with all applicable laws. You are solely responsible for your User Content. We expressly disclaim all liability in connection with User Content submitted by users.
Profile voice notes are accessible to registered users as part of the discovery feed. Chat messages (text and voice) are accessible only to the matched pair, disappear from the conversation 24 hours after they are sent, and any residual server copies are permanently deleted in accordance with the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. Messages may be screened by automated systems for safety and policy compliance — including detection of contact details shared before a mutual reveal, which may be blocked. You must not record or reproduce another user's voice without their express consent. We do not use your voice recordings for advertising or sell them to any third party.
Profile photographs remain hidden until both users in a match have independently and voluntarily consented to a reveal. Reveals unlock only after a server-enforced message threshold, including a minimum contribution from each participant; we may adjust these thresholds at any time. You must only upload photographs of yourself. Sharing, screenshotting, or distributing a revealed photo outside the Service without the other user's explicit consent is strictly prohibited and may constitute a violation of applicable law. GreyLens bears no liability for any misuse of revealed photographs by other users.
Voice calls unlock after a server-enforced message threshold with a minimum contribution from each participant; video calls unlock only after a mutual Photo Reveal has been completed. Calls use encrypted peer-to-peer WebRTC technology. Recording or transmitting another user's call without their explicit consent is prohibited and may be illegal in your jurisdiction. We are not a party to any call and bear no responsibility for call content.
The Service includes optional community features — including timed one-to-one conversation sessions and themed rooms — in which you may be connected with another participant for a limited session (typically 10 minutes). Session conversations are ephemeral: no history is retained after a session ends. Free accounts may be limited to a set number of sessions per day. All Acceptable Use provisions apply in full to community sessions. Matching in community sessions is automated and depends on availability; we make no guarantee as to the availability, frequency, identity, or suitability of any session participant.
Users may add up to 10 additional photos to a paid Gallery. Viewers can unlock a creator's full Gallery for ₹149 via Google Play In-App Billing. Upon a successful verified purchase, the creator is credited 30% of each unlock as earnings. Gallery content must comply with these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions; explicit, prohibited, or illegal content will be removed and may result in account termination.
The Service offers a Premium subscription (₹299/month, auto-renewing) covering premium benefits across all modes of the App, and one-time purchases (Boost, Gallery Unlock), all processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing. All pricing, billing terms, and refund eligibility are governed by Google Play's policies. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled through your Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. We verify all purchase receipts server-side before granting any benefits, and we re-verify subscriptions periodically; benefits end when a subscription lapses or fails verification. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue premium features at any time. No refunds will be issued by us for unused subscription periods or feature changes except where required by applicable law or Google Play's refund policy.
We may offer referral rewards (such as additional weekly connects) when a new user redeems your referral code. Referral rewards have no cash value, are not transferable, and may be modified, suspended, or revoked at any time at our sole discretion. Self-referral, bulk account creation, or any abuse of the referral programme may result in forfeiture of rewards and account termination.
We provide in-app reporting tools for users to flag content or behaviour that violates these Terms. Content may also be reviewed by automated moderation systems, including automated photo scanning. We reserve the right — but are not obligated — to review, remove, or restrict any User Content or account at any time at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Moderation decisions are final. We are not liable for any delay in removing violating content or for failing to detect violations.
We may suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases and any unredeemed earnings or rewards may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law. Data deletion is governed by our Privacy Policy. We bear no liability to you or any third party for any termination of your account.
We make no warranty that the Service will meet your requirements; that any user is who they claim to be or is suitable for dating; that you will form any relationship or connection through the Service; or that User Content posted by others is accurate, truthful, or lawful.
Always exercise caution when interacting with people you meet online. Never share financial information, never send money to someone you have not met in person, and meet new contacts for the first time in a safe, public location.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three months immediately preceding the event, or (b) INR 500.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GreyLens and its directors, employees, agents, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your User Content; (c) your use of the Service; (d) your violation of any third-party right or applicable law; or (e) any dispute between you and another user.
We do not conduct background checks on users. We are not responsible for the online or offline conduct of any user, and we expressly disclaim all liability for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from interactions or in-person meetings between users that originate through the Service. You engage with other users entirely at your own risk.
The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Play, Google Sign-In, Google Firebase, and Cloudflare. These are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or content of any third-party service.
The Service — including its design, code, branding, text, graphics, and features, excluding User Content — is the exclusive property of GreyLens and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GreyLens regarding the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and delete your account.
